Peace For All T-shirt
Uniqlo believes, "It's time for action, in the name of world peace." It has partnered with other significant figures worldwide who share this vision to create the "Peace for All" project. This is a project where designers, artists, innovators, and other notable figures contribute t-shirt designs to sell in Uniqlo/Fast Retailing stores, which share the theme of "Peace for All" in the contributor's unique style.
100% of the proceeds from this project are donated to international organizations supporting those affected by violence, discrimination, armed conflict, and poverty.
Akamai was asked to be part of this project, and I was the designer tasked with it. I worked closely with my creative director and the team at Uniqlo to create a fashion-forward t-shirt that still reflects "Peace for All" and Akamai's brand essence.
The t-shirt was a huge success, and the first batch sold out faster than expected. It even went viral online with subreddits and YouTube videos trying to crack the missing pieces of the code on the t-shirt.
Other notable contributors to the "Peace for All" project are Keith Haring, Haruki Murakami, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Lisa Larson, PEANUTS, KAWS, Roger Federer, and many more.
